The mandate of The Maestro Foundation for Music & Arts Advancement is to support the learning experience of economically challenged children and youth at risk. The Foundation supports programs that benefit inner-city youth and new immigrant communities within Toronto and the neighbouring areas.
Through the Maestro Foundation, kids from our inner city neighbourhoods can take music lessons throughout the school year in a number of programs, attend music camps during school breaks and in the summer and further their music education at the advanced level through a Maestro Foundation scholarship.
A professional quality music education has been proven to increase a child's IQ, resulting in higher academic performance in math and science. Further benefits include improved speech and reading abilities and enhanced teamwork skills and personal self-discipline.
