Jackie received her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Guelph and went on to work in the hospitality industry for a number of years. In 1990 she started a business working with various charities as an operator of roving Monte Carlo Events. An entrepreneur at heart, she received her Real Estate license in 2005 and has since become a top producing agent. She spent 5 years in the Craig Proctor real estate coaching program and is currently enrolled in the Brian Buffini real estate coaching program. She believes investing in herself is important in order to serve her past, present and future clients with excellence. She also mentors fellow agents with their business and enjoys contributing to the success of others.
She began her real estate career with Royal LePage and during her years there she received the Presidents Gold Award for 6 consecutive years, the Award of Excellence and the Directors Platinum award. In 2012, Jackie joined Keller Williams Co-Elevation Realty and has consistently been ranked in the top 5% for producing agents within the company. Jackie was drawn to this company because of their commitment to excellence, and a culture that inspires people to be the very best they can be.
She has also achieved her SREA (Senior Real Estate Agent) designation.
Jackie is the proud mother to two daughters. They are both pursuing post-secondary education and have indicated that one day they may join Jackie and Fred in the real estate business.
Jackie lives in Etobicoke with her husband and business partner Fred Skogland. They are both members of Kings Highway Crossfit where they work out regularly and play squash. They also subscribe to a daily mediation practice. Staying fit both physically and mentally are important aspects to their lives. (Update: They have since set up a home gym to continue their exercise program. "We look forward to returning to regular gym work-outs when permitted.")

Fred attended Ryerson University where he studied business. While going to school, he was hired as one of the original staff that opened the CN Tower, then accepted a full time position as the first Advertising & Promotions Manager for Toronto's pinnacle landmark. (At only 21 years of age!) One of many experiences in that exciting time was to oversee stuntman Dar Robinson's successful parachute jump from the CN Tower for the Christopher Plumer movie 'High Point' in 1979. Known for creating unique events he was the first to light up the Tower (at the microwave level under the observation deck) with a sign that read "Cops Are Tops".
After 4 years with the CN Tower, he moved on and took a position as the Advertising Manager at the Bulova Watch Company where he stick-handled competitive incentive promotions and advertising with brands like Seiko, Timex, Rolex, TAG and Cartier. When Fred left Bulova he moved into broadcasting where he began a 20 plus year career as an Account Executive for CFTR680, CFNY102.1, and MIX99.9.
Sales and marketing are in Fred's blood so the transition into real estate came easily. In 2013, he met his (now) wife and long-time real estate agent Jackie Carron. Their synergy was obvious and immediate. They knew they had a special bond, both for the passion with which they lived life and the passion that they brought to their real estate business. Helping people with one of the largest financial transactions of their life is something they take very seriously and yet they believe it should be fun and exciting at the same time. From the Jackie Carron Home Selling Team they have re-branded to The Carron-Skogland Real Estate Team. Together they have over 20+ years of real estate experience.
Fred's family includes two sons who work in the real estate and mortgage business and two step-daughters who are stepping into adult life and who might possible join the team after completing post-secondary education. His sister, Kari Skogland, is an award winning Hollywood & International Director and Show Runner who's projects include The Handmaid's Tale, Vikings, The Loudest Voice, 50 Dead Men Walking, Boardwalk Empire, The Borgias. Kari is currently working on a Marvel project. His step-brother owned and ran an Advertising Company and his step-father was President of Standard Broadcasting. It's not surprising that Fred applies his marketing savvy into each property we present to market so that it sells quickly and for top dollar.
He loves to watch hockey and spent many years as a manager with minor league and Jr A hockey teams (Toronto Penguins, Toronto Junior Canadians, Markham Waxers Jr A). He plays squash & does CrossFit work-outs five days a week. He is happy to enjoy a glass of red wine with Jackie in front of an indoor fireplace but especially enjoys the outdoor fire pit! Most of all he loves the feeling of helping people in their journey of success.
